About Kory

I have spent 15+ years helping scale engineering, product, design, and gtm teams for startups as well as enterprise companies. 

I started Mad World in 2020 after noticing a gap in the talent acquisition landscape. Most agencies are built for enterprise or hyperscaling/high growth startups, but lack the understanding and nuance of building a founding engineering team or hiring your first product marketer or designer. 

These challenging and hard to fill roles are where I thrive.

Whether I'm living out of a backpack on a 100+ mile backcountry journey, planning my garden for the year, or finding top talent I put all of myself in to it. 

Early in my career I fell in love with the startup scene and quickly found myself hosting networking events and meetups, talking on panels, and even giving a talk at Seattle Startup Week. Since then I've relocated in Denver, CO and maintain active startup clients and candidate networks across the country. 

When I'm not focusing on recruiting and tech startups I can be found in the mountains backpacking with my Wife and our Australian Cattle Dog, usually with a camera slung around my  neck.
