For the last fourteen years I've been helping companies scale their engineering organizations. I've been fascinated by technology and it's ability to connect people ever since I signed my parents up for 250 hrs of free AOL using a CD that came with a Pizza Hut pizza. I soon found myself running online gaming guilds, learning HTML, and connecting to a world outside of rural Missouri. I'm in technical recruiting, because I love technology.
I began my career focused on building professional services teams for enterprise organizations as they went through large organizational changes embracing, at the time, brand new cloud technology and mobile applications.
Since then I've rode the waves and helped scale teams across a plethora of tech stacks, language fads, and enough javascript frameworks & libraries to last a lifetime.
I started Mad World in 2020 after noticing a gap in the talent acquisition landscape.
Most agencies are built for enterprise or hyper-scaling/high growth startups, they lack the understanding and nuance of building a founding engineering team or helping a first time founder navigate the pitfalls of the hiring process.
These tricky and challenging scenarios are where Mad World comes in.
I spent ten years in Seattle helping startups successfully stand out and compete for talent during the rise of Amazon and Facebook.
Since then I've relocated to CO and maintain active startup clients and candidate networks across the country.
When I'm not plugged in to the LinkedIn matrix, I can be found in the mountains backpacking with my wife and our Australian Cattle Dog, usually with a camera slung around my neck.
